About
The Crown Heights Hatzalah volunteers are dedicated community members who respond to over 10,000 emergency calls each year. They sacrifice time with family, including many times during Shabbos and Yom Tov, to help those in need. From heart attacks to other life-threatening injuries, these volunteers answer every call, rushing to the scene within moments to help someone they don’t even know.
Trained extensively and certified in emergency medical care, Hatzalah volunteers serve anyone in the neighborhood, regardless of background or faith. Their mission, rooted in compassion and Jewish values, exemplifies the mitzvah of saving lives and helping individuals and families during some of life’s most critical moments.
Unlike city-funded EMS teams, Hatzalah of Crown Heights relies entirely on community support to cover the high costs of ambulances, equipment, and medical supplies. Your generous, tax-deductible donation is crucial to keeping this essential, volunteer-driven service active and ready to respond to any emergency at any time.
